No Parking Sometimes at 3:15 pm.

Let us talk a little about alternate side parking for a moment. Does any one out there believe that NYC cares if the streets are clean or dirty. The truth is that our leaders are trained to seek out areas where they can tax or extract money from the people. They have created a gold mine with alternate side of the street parking. In a society where there are more cars than parking spaces they have come to rely on the revenue created by alt side parking. When it snows I am waiting to hear three magical words Alternate Side Suspended. How many times have you seen the cleaning machine on your street. Do they get fined if they don't show up. How much does that useless street cleaning machine cost anyway. The thing goes down the street and moves the debries into the middle of the street most of the time. Here's the game! No parking from 8 to 8:30 Mon to Fri. No Parking Tues from 8am to 7pm. No parking on Thurs at 3:15. What will you do when they tell you they are going to clean the street every day, twice a day, then three times on Sat and once on Sun. If I can think of it then they can think of it. How many tickets could their army of meter maids give out in a confusing street sign, where is it safe to park society. You would spend most of your free time trying to interpret the parking signs, looking for parking and moving your car. If you didn't pay your fines they will tow your car and auction it off in ten days. Thats the law they created.  As the economy gets tighter and you have less money the enemy, yes  enemy, is tring to get more of your money. Be ware. It is, and always will be, about money. If not they could simlply make a law that says the owner of a building was responsible to clean the street in front of his building. Then they could lay off the street cleaning people and that army of meter maids. They could eliminate their pay and pentions and medical benefits. Then sell off the street cleaning machines.  Then give out a ticket if the street wasn't clean. Ooopppsss !!!!  sorry.   Brutus !
